Ella's Blog - The Cadoxton Way

Monday 23rd of March 2020

Today was the first school day that I have missed, I woke up at 8:00 thinking I was going to school because that’s what my body is used too, but me and my family made it like a real school day so that I wouldn’t get out of routine for when I go back to school,  I had to work from 9:30-11:00, break, work from 11:30-1:00 and then lunch. It’s really fun to be able to have my parents helping me and have a slight change of plan! (some of the maths was hard!)

Me, my mum and my dad have just finished watching news, and Boris had said that we aren’t allowed to leave the house unless it’s shopping essentials, going for a walk, or travelling to and from work, again I think he has made such a good decision for the U.K! Many other countries are now beginning to let the citizens out of lockdown, I sincerely hope that will eventually be us. But let’s face it we are officially on lockdown.

Earlier on today all four of us in my family did a workout! We made a circuit out back garden with lots of different activities to keep our bodies healthy, it is essential to do this because if we were to be stuck in the house for a month let’s face it we would be well out of shape! It is also very good for our mental health to make sure we aren’t getting carried away and not getting too worried about the situation we are in.

I have never ever experienced anything like this before, neither have my great grandparents, it’s getting very scary and I’m getting very bored! But In the end I’m sure that everyone will be healthy and life will be normal again.
